Passports & Visas

TRAVELERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THAT THEY CARRY THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION WHENEVER TRAVELING OUTSIDE OF THEIR HOME COUNTRY.

Every country has its own requirements for both residents and visitors. In the majority of cases, a passport is required to leave and return to your home country. KVI recommends carrying a passport every time you leave your home country, without exception.

Currently, there are cases where travel outside of the country does not require a passport. For example, US citizens may travel on a cruise to the Caribbean with a valid drivers' license as sufficient proof of ID. However, should a medical emergency occur that requires hospitalization outside of the country, having a valid passport in your possession could make it MUCH easier to return home quickly.

For this reason, and many others, KVI believes that always traveling internationally with a valid passport that expires no earlier than 6 months after the end of your scheduled travel is a necessary ingredient in the peace of mind travelers seek to truly enjoy their vacations to the fullest.

In addition to passport requirements/recommendations, it is also important that all travelers leaving their home country be aware of any visa requirements for travel to their destination countries. Please note that some cruises carry a 'blanket' visa which covers all passengers on their ship, as long as those passengers only book the cruise line's own excursions in the given country and do not venture off independently.

While your personal KVI Travel Professional may be able to assist you in getting answers to these questions, it is ultimately the responsibility of each traveler to ensure they have any and all required documentation.
